KIDS CAMP - EVENING BABYSITTING SERVICE

Race for Kids has partnered with Apple Tree Learning Centers to provide two fun & stimulating evenings of Kid’s Camp on January 8 & 9 for children 4-12 years old. This year camp will run from 8:00pm to 11:00pm on Friday night and from 8:00pm to 12:00am on Saturday night.

KIDS CAMP: Our goal is to provide a program that your children will enjoy, so that you can feel comfortable having some adult time. Parents may check-in their children for Kids Camp beginning at 7:45pm Friday and Saturday. Kids Camp is FREE for all FCS Race for Kids participants.

MORE CONVENIENT LOCATION THIS YEAR: This year, our Kids Camp will be conveniently located in the Alpine Lounge adjacent to the dinner venue at Spruce Camp Base Lodge.

ACTIVITIES FOR KIDS CAMP 2017: Depending upon numbers, ages, and interest, campers will have opportunities to participate in a themed activity each night, as well as enjoy a variety of fun games and crafts.

FRIDAY: SNOW CAMP EXPEDITION: We will begin with some name games and camp games to get to know one another. Then we will launch our snow camp expedition to discover the historic Smugglers Notch Campsites, play some snow camp games, and roast some marshmallows over an open fire. When we return, campers will have time to create
something fun in our Arts and Crafts Center. (Bring your outdoor snow clothes!)

SATURDAY: CIRCUS SKILLS AND CIRCUS SHOW: Campers will follow a rotation of circus skills workshops to learn some basics in juggling, diabolo, tumbling, lunasticks, stilt-walking, and clowning. Then we’ll take time to visit the Arts and Crafts Center and create something fun. Campers will then choose their act and rehearse to perform for each other, their counselors, and their parents.

ABOUT US: At Apple Tree Learning Centers we provide high quality programming and supervision. All of our staff are trained professionals, many of whom have their CDA or teaching degrees. All are First Aid & CPR certified and have many years experience with children.

EVENING BABY-SITTING: The price per baby-sitter will be $18.00 – $25.00 per hour depending on the number of children. These individuals will be available when parents wish. Parents who have children under 4 years as well as children over 4 in our evening Kids Camp will want to have the sitter start at the hotel room with the child under 4 and
the older children can then be escorted back to the room and left with the sitter later that evening if the parents wish. There is a 3-hour minimum for sitters.

NOTE: PARENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING THE BABYSITTER THAT EVENING.
